EXPECTED DA JANUARY 2013

AICPI-IW FOR DECEMBER 2012 RELEASED BY LABOUR BUREAU – DA WITH EFFECT FROM JANUARY 2013 WILL BE 80%

AICPI – IW (All India Consumer price Index for industrial workers with the base as 2001=100) for the month of December 2012 has been issued by Government.

Estimated Dearness Allowance with effect from January 2013

From the table above you could see that all the details for calculating Dearness Allowance with effect from January 2013 i.e., All India Consumer price Index (Industrial Workers) for the months from January 2012 to December 2012 are available.
The formula for calculating Central Government Employees with effect from January of every year is as follows
Dearness Allowance with effect from 1st January every year

                                                                                            (Average of AICPI-IW for the months from               January to December of previous year – 115.76)X100/115.76

Hence, on the basis of above formula, the Dearness Allowance (DA) eligibility for all Central Government Employees and Pensioners with effect from January 2013 will be 80%.
