UP govt announces Rs 10 lakh compensation

 Uttar Pradesh government today announced a compensation of Rs. 10 lakhs in case of death of any government employee during ongoing panchayat election duty in an unnatural accident like terror strike or attack by anti-social elements or terrorist strike.


The state election commission here said in a press release that in case of normal death the compensation amount would be Rs. five lakhs while in case of permanent disability in attack by anti-social elements, the compensation amount would be Rs. 2.50 lakhs.

The release said compensation amount for upto 45 per cent disability would be Rs. 1.50 lakhs.
