HP employees to get arrears of revised pay before Diwali

The class III and class IV employees of Himachal Pradesh government would get arrears of revised pay scales on the eve of Diwali, Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal said here today.

The employees will get arrears amounting Rs 10,000 before Diwali.

The payment of arrears would cost the state exchequer between Rs 175 crore and Rs 200 crore, he said.

The chief minister said the dearness allowance of the employees and pensioners had already increased by 18 per cent but the Finance Commission had not provided matching funds.
