Restructuring of DRDO

 The Government has examined the report of P Rama Rao Committee on restructuring of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). The report of the committee has been accepted by the Government. The Committee has recommended for private sector participation in Defence Research and Development. It has also recommended selection of Industry Partner (Public or Private) through a transparent process and their early involvement in the development, in order to avoid delays; maintaining secrecy and security of the DRDO.



This information was given by Defence Minister Shri AK Antony in a written reply to Shri Bal Kumar Patel in Lok Sabha today.
